Why JDA is Different

As Australia's leading "print-industry specific" recruitment consultancy, we have adopted a different philosophy to that of traditional recruiters, who know little about our industry, charge high fees and offer rigid terms.

James Cryer (in Sydney) and Chris Gander (in Melbourne) are both from the printing industry - having clocked up over 60 years experience between them (they're not revealing the actual split!) Accordingly, they have an intuitive feel for sussing out the right candidate - and offering expert guidance in the often difficult selection process.

JDA can also offer industry-specific advice and assistance on other staffing matters (eg, how to position your company to attract better candidates!)

Set out below are a number of unique key points and benefits which JDA offers to clients:

  • An excellent working knowledge of the printing industry.
  • All fees negotiable, as every client's needs are different.
  • No fee to exceed 10% of annual package.
  • NO FEE IS PAYABLE FOR 30 DAYS AFTER THE CANDIDATE STARTS, giving you a realistic opportunity to assess their performance. If the candidate is not suitable, or leaves during that period, there is no fee. No other recruiter offers this benefit!

For sales reps, where the "success-factor" is more difficult to predict, we recommend a series of part-payments spread over an agreed-upon period.

All first-time job-seekers (e.g. just out of apprenticeship), or mature-age candidates (typically mid 50's and above) are offered at a discount of 50% off a normal fee, in an attempt to encourage the employment-prospects of such candidates.
