A Statement from W. James Cryer -

First and foremost, I am from the printing industry (fourth generation, since 1903). As such, I have an understanding of this industry’s peculiarities and special needs.

JDA wishes to distance itself from the traditional recruitment industry, which is still characterized by the “old fashioned model” of high fees and rigid terms and conditions.As a former employer in the printing industry, I have an intuitive understanding of what employers seek in a candidate and I understand what candidates are looking for, when it comes to jobs within the printing industry.

I am an active member of various print industry associations and contribute articles on issues of concern to the industry.

Over the years I have built up an extensive database of candidates, therefore I am not totally reliant on advertising, as are some recruiters.

I have introduced a number of improvements to the “old fashioned” recruitment model, in terms of offering a more friendly, flexible and well-informed service to you, the client.For example - no fixed fees. Everything is negotiable - no fee to exceed 10% and, importantly, no fee at all, for 30 days after a candidate starts, to give you a suitable time-frame to assess their performance.
